In the light of the search for effective impart on their host community,the Sustainable and Development Goals group of the National Youth Service Corps scheme has carried out a sensitization program at St Charles High School, Osogbo
The students were sensitized on good health,quality education and gender equity during the courtesy visit of the group to their school
Speaking on how to live with good health,the group Financial Secretary,Mr Orabanwo Adewale stressed the need for life devoid of illness and diseases and advised on prevention and treatment,attending immunization campaigns and regular visitation to healthcare centre
The Public Relations Officer, Mr Nihinola Kola in his address, admonished the students on qualities of education which they should pursue at all cost
“Education liberates the intellect, unlocks the imagination and is fundamental for self-respect. It is the key to prosperity and opens a world of opportunities, making it possible for each of us to contribute to a progressive, healthy society” He said
The students were also sensitized on gender equity
” both male and female have equal treatment in terms of rights, benefits, obligations and opportunities” Miss Boluwatife,one of the speakers disclosed
Gift items such as books, pen, noodles were given to the students and SDGs club was created in the school.
