A plane conveying passengers has crashed at an airport in Nepal this morning before skidding off the runway and bursting into flames.
At least 17 people have been rushed to hospital while images from the scene show the wrecked plane near Kathmandu’s International Airport.

An airport official has confirmed that the aircraft was a Bangladeshi passenger plane which “became unstable” while descending into the airport.
There have been reports that the plane was travelling from Dhaka.
Tourism Ministry Joint Secretary Suresh Acharya said 17 injured passengers have been rescued and taken to hospital.
The aircraft is said to have caught fire after sliding off the runway and crashing into a football field, according to an airport spokesperson.
