Guest : My name is Idiong, Obongofon Monday with state code OS/17A/3871 From AKWA IBOM state. A graduate of Uniben studied Fine and Applied Arts(Textile Design major).

The Parrot: Your Place of Primary Assignment?
Guest: Salvation Army Middle school, Alekwuodo, Oshogbo. Osun.

The Parrot: What’s CDS group do you belong to?
Guest: Editorial CDS

The Parrot: How has your service in been?
Guest: it’s been awesome and interesting because I have met new set of persons and I have also l added value to myself during the course of the service.

The Parrot: What do you think should improve on?
Guest: OK, I will suggest the scheme should keep adding more values to the SAED training program as an initiative that has helped so many corp members and as one of the major benefits of NYSC to corp members which has helped reduce unemployment in the country.
Also, I will also plead for something to be done about the federal allowance(allowee) to make it better.

The Parrot: What triggered the idea of making a portrait for the State Cordinator of Osun state?
Guest: Actually I like people that do great things. What triggered the idea of making a portrait for him was his leadership impact on the NYSC Osun NYSC with the little times I’ve spent starting from the orientation camp till now.
It’s my own way of saying well-done to him as my state coordinator.

The Parrot: How did you feel after he accepted the gift?
Guest: I feel good and fulfilled being that he also expressed his happiness while receive.

The Parrot: What has been you best experience while serving?
Guest: My best experience in my service year was at my PPA when I was being prayed for by the Principal, the Vice Principal and my HOD for actually discharging my duties appropriately in my capacity as their Fine Arts teacher.

The Parrot: If you are chanced to come back to serve will you take the offer?
Guest: Yes.

The Parrot: Seriously? Why?
Guest : I will because during my service, I’ve met new and important persons. Also I have added great value to myself.

The Parrot:Lastly, A word of advice to serving corps members out there.

Guest: My advice to serving corp members is that they should take their service seriously. They should also take positive advantage of the 1 year scheme by engaging themselves in value added activities during the NYSC period.
Lastly, in line with the NYSC core vision; they should give everybody equal treatment regardless of tribe and religion as this will restore peace and unity to the nation.
