The Environmental Protection and Sanitation Group(ESPG) of the National Youth Service Corps in Osun has extended sanitation exercise to their host community to support the O Clean policy of the State Of Osun Government

Members of the Community Development Service group engaged in cleaning up of waste in and around a open field opposite Adenle Middle School,Ayetoro, Oshogbo

The field which is known for hub of social activities has been spotted as a refuse dump in the area, as people around liter their refuse unlawfully with no proper waste disposal bins around for the few traders selling there to dispose their dirt properly

The president of the CDS,Mr Azeez Usman, disclosed that their activity was a call to create awareness to the people around the area on the need to properly dispose their waste materials and take care of their environment properly.

While speaking on the challenges they face, he said the attempt of the CDS to reach out to the State Waste Management and Disposal Agency to support them with some waste disposal equipment to carry out their sensitisation activities effectively proved abortive

“As regards this morning sensitization all equipment used were sponsored by the contributions among the CDS members” He said

It could be recalled that this same group recently sanitized the Ata Oja of Oshogbo Palace and the NYSC Secretariat, Oshogbo while their counterpart in Ile Ife sanitized the famous Oja tutu market.
