Corps Member Reaches Out To Students, Corps Members Welfare

A corps member in the state of Osun, Oluwamayowa Ogunjimi(OS/17A/0881) has embarked on a 5-day personal project reaching out to students and corps members in Ife Central Local government of the state.

According to Oluwamayowa, the project was supported by highly spirited individuals, in a bid to Foster excellent academic performance,build self-confidence, improve students’ public speaking abilities and aid better state of health of corps members in the local government area.

In the course of the project outreach, the corps member delivered motivational speeches, donated scientific diagrams at Oduduwa College, Seventh Day Adventist High School and three other schoools, in order to aid their learning and retention abilities.

Other highlights of the outreach were public speaking seminar organized for the five selected schools in the local government and donation of drugs to the local government mini clinic.

The outreach was wrapped up with inter-secondary school debate and spelling bee competition, where the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Timothy Olayera Elugbaju, who was represented by his protocol Officer, Hon. Wale Falaju, commended the entire project, stating that the initiative was laudable, as it would not only touch lives but transform lives for better.

The Local government Inspector, Com. Alee Samuel, commended the efforts made my Oluwamayowa to create solutions to some of the pressing issues in the society and influence lives positively.
